Hiring Process

We make sure your hiring process is as easy as possible. When we receive your call or email we will contact you to make appointment at time convenient to you with no obligation. Before our first meeting you will fill out the family application. During our meeting we will explain our services and the process of hiring a caregiver and general information about caregivers we provide. If you are satisfied with our services, we will sign the agency agreement between Magnus & the Employer. Once the agreement is signed and fee received, the process of hiring caregiver is initiated.

We will then arrange the candidates for interview. Candidates we provide may include, candidates under In-Home Caregiver, candidate who posses open work permit, candidates who are immigrants and Canadian citizens. During interview process, you must discuss hours of work, day-offs, salary, duties & responsibilities, nanny skills, nanny privileges & nanny entitlements and you expectations from nanny. Once the candidate is chosen you will make an offer of employment, if the offer is accepted depending on the status of the candidate they can start the employment on the date set by you and / or availability of the candidate.

If required, depending on your time constraint, we also refer candidates who are available overseas and arrange for a Skype interview. Overseas caregivers are hired under ‘In-Home Caregiver’. If and when required we will assist you with all the documentation and provide with initial payroll preparation as part of our service. We work with immigration consultant in hiring overseas nannies. If you would like Immigration consultant to represent you in dealing with Service Canada and other government agencies, there will be additional fees. You can also represent yourself and deal with these agencies when required.
